Make a lip balm holder keychain to 3D print.
A screw cap, 7 textures, a name up the side, sized to your stick.

The Lip Balm Holders generator makes a small case that carries a lip balm stick on a key ring or a bag: a textured tube, a cap that screws on, a flat ear with a hole at the top of the cap, and a name along the side. You measure your stick and the case is built around it.
Examples

How to make a lip balm holder
Measure the stick
Its diameter and length. Most sticks are 15.9 mm across; some brands are wider, so measure yours.
Pick a texture
Flutes, ribs, diamond, dots, leaves, twist or plain; depth 0.4 to 2 mm, on the tube, the cap or both.
Add a name
Engraved into a smooth strip, or raised in its own colour. 6 fonts, letter height 4 to 16 mm.
Keep the ear
A flat ear with a hole at the top of the cap, for a key ring or a clip.
Export and print
The tube, the cap and the letters are separate objects in the file.
What you can change
- Texture
- Plain, flutes, ribs, diamond, dots, leaves, twist; texture size 2.5 to 12 mm.
- Name
- Poppins, Bagel, Fredoka, DejaVu, Bebas or Pacifico; raised letters stand out 0.4 to 1.2 mm.
- Colours
- The tube, the cap and raised letters can each take their own colour.
- Batches
- Paste a list of names and get one case for each.
Printing tips
Tip.Print one case first and screw the cap on before you print a batch: how well a thread runs depends on your printer and filament.
The 3MF keeps each colour as its own object, so a printer with automatic filament changes (such as a Bambu Lab AMS) prints it in one go. With one colour, print every object in the same filament.
Questions
Will my lip balm fit?
Measure its diameter and length and type them in; the case is built around them. A standard 0.15 oz stick is 15.9 mm across.
How does it attach to keys?
The cap has a flat ear with a hole for a key ring or a clip.
Can I make one for each name on a list?
Yes. Paste the names and get one case each, in one file.
What file do I get?
A 3MF, which keeps each colour as its own object for a multi-colour printer, or an STL. Every file is checked before it downloads: closed (watertight) geometry, a single shell and walls thick enough to print.
Is it free?
The free plan gives 3 designs a month on each generator. Selling the printed pieces needs the Seller or Studio plan, which include the commercial licence.
Licence
On the Free and Maker plans you may print your designs for yourself and as gifts, not for sale. Selling the printed pieces needs the Seller or Studio plan, which include the commercial licence and a licence certificate for each design. Pieces made during the free beta, before paid plans launched, may still be sold on the terms of that time. The exported files themselves can never be resold or redistributed, on any plan.
