Open the pocket boxes generator

Green stadium-shaped box with a swivel lid marked Mints.

The Pocket Boxes generator makes a small box with a lid that swivels, slides, caps on or slides in a sleeve. Inside it can have up to four sections; on top, a name, a logo or a pattern. A key ring loop turns it into a box you carry.

How to make a box

  1. Pick the shape and size

7 shapes; length, width and height in millimetres.

  2. Choose the lid

Swivel, slide, cap or sleeve, and how tight it closes.

  3. Divide it

    1 to 4 sections.

  4. Mark the lid

Text or a logo, inlaid in a second colour or debossed; or a pattern.

  5. Export and print

Box and lid as separate objects in the file.

Where it is used

  • Mints, earrings, guitar picks, SD cards.
  • Small parts on a workbench.
  • Favours for a wedding or an event, each with a name.

A box is a container, not a medical device. Do not sell it as a pill organiser with health claims.

Questions

Which lids are there?

Swivel, slide, cap and sleeve, each in a snug, normal or loose fit.

Can I put a name on the lid?

Yes, as text or a logo, inlaid in a second colour or debossed.

Can it hang on keys?

Yes. Turn on the key ring and put it on the top or a side.

What file do I get?

A 3MF, which keeps each colour as its own object for a multi-colour printer, or an STL. Every file is checked before it downloads: closed (watertight) geometry, a single shell and walls thick enough to print.

Is it free?

The free plan gives 3 designs a month on each generator. Selling the printed pieces needs the Seller or Studio plan, which include the commercial licence.

Licence

On the Free and Maker plans you may print your designs for yourself and as gifts, not for sale. Selling the printed pieces needs the Seller or Studio plan, which include the commercial licence and a licence certificate for each design. Pieces made during the free beta, before paid plans launched, may still be sold on the terms of that time. The exported files themselves can never be resold or redistributed, on any plan.

This is a summary. Read Can I sell rings I 3D print with Morcano? and the Terms, which are the authoritative text.
